About Me

Hi, I’m Allison and thank you for visiting my blog.

My husband and I met in grad school in 2006 and we have been together since then.  We got married in 2011 and live in a tiny house (all we can afford in the bay area) with our little cutie pie mini-poodle.  We adopted him in the summer of the year we got married and he is what I call my soul-pet.

DH and I have actively been trying to start a family since the beginning of 2012 with no avail.  In May 2013, we met a OBGYN who also specializes in fertility.  After going through 6 rounds of IUIs, an HSG and one laparoscopy, we are now moving onto IVF.  I have been diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis and although DH has not been officially diagnosed, he does have low sperm motility DH’s sperms have improved drastically from what we can only explain as a miracle.

We are both followers of Christ.  I was baptized when I was a baby and DH was baptized on Easter Day, 2013.  We believe that God will lead us to whatever plan he may have for us and I pray each and every day that plan includes me having DH’s child soon.

Thank you for reading this blog and joining us on our journey.  If you are also going through infertility, I hope our story gives you encouragement, hope and peace.

Update: I am now blessed with twin boys, expected due date October 29th although they will surely come earlier than that.  I thank God for every moment I can feel them and pray that they come to us as two healthy babies.

Hi there. Just came across your blog thorugh ICLW. I’m in the bay area too and my hubby and I are both believers as well. I also have endo also nobody told me how bad it is. They all attribute my lack of getting pregnant to my high FSH and my egg quality. Anyhow, I’ll follow your journey.

I have endo too (stage 2) but it hasn’t affected me so far. I was lucky, I was Dxd early. Anyway, just subscribed to your blog — all the way from SoCal! xx
